As part of the Horizon Europe project Active Storage of Captured CO₂ in Net-Zero Construction Products – Asccent, a Coordination and Support Action funded under the call HORIZON-WIDERA-2023-ACCESS-02-02: Twinning Green Deal, Ida Javorski Milošić from the Centre for Projects, Innovation and Technology Transfer at the University of Zagreb’s Faculty of Civil Engineering participated in the KU Leuven Research Management and Administration (RMA) Days, held in Leuven, Belgium, from 24 to 26 March 2025. The event formed part of the project’s capacity-building efforts.

This training opportunity in research management supported the project’s third pillar: enhancing capacity to attract innovation investments and strengthening academia-industry collaboration. Through a combination of structured training sessions and networking activities, participants gained practical, hands-on knowledge of research support processes at one of Europe’s leading research universities, while also having the opportunity to exchange ideas and share best practices.

The invitation-only event brought together research managers and administrators from universities across Belgium, the Netherlands, the UK, Ireland, Hungary, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Estonia, and New Zealand. Participants explored a wide range of topics, including ERC and MSCA funding, Horizon Europe support services, innovation and project management, research integrity, and diversity policies. The event also featured presentations by KU Leuven’s research support professionals, offering valuable insights into best practices in research administration and fostering stronger international collaboration in research management.
