We’re just about to kick off our Summer School on Carbon Storage in Net Zero Construction Products!

Over the next few days, PhD students and young researchers will dive deep into the latest scientific and industrial developments shaping the future of sustainable construction. The summer school brings together international experts, practical case studies, and collaborative exercises, all designed to explore innovative pathways toward carbon-neutral construction materials.

Participants will engage with a wide range of topics, including:

  • 🌍 Global Industrial Perspective on Net-Zero Production
  • 🏗️ Cement Basics and Chemical Reactions in Concrete Hydration
  • 🔬 Characterization Techniques for Concrete
  • ⚗️ Advances in Mineral Carbonation Science and Technology for Construction Materials
  • 🧪 Principles, Mechanisms, and Analytical Methods of Mineral Carbonation
  • 🔄 Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) of Net-Zero Buildings and Construction Products
  • 🚀 Implementation of Net-Zero Innovations – Methodologies and Project Examples

Through lectures, group work, and interactive sessions, this summer school offers a unique opportunity to explore the science, technology, and real-world applications of carbon storage in the built environment.
