Within the scientific programme of the 6th Symposium Zajednički temelji 2025, a paper authored by Viktor Kolčić, Ivana Carević, and Marijana Serdar was presented.

The 6th Symposium Zajednički temelji 2025 was held from 9–12 July 2025 at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, University of Rijeka. Viktor Kolčić delivered the presentation entitled “The Role of Education in Promoting Sustainability in Construction: The Case of the Course Green Building.”

The presentation emphasized the crucial role of higher education in fostering sustainability in the construction sector. Through the example of the Green Building course, the authors demonstrated how educational programmes can successfully integrate sustainability concepts, enhance student awareness, and contribute to the development of environmentally responsible construction practices.

The symposium served as an important forum for the exchange of knowledge and ideas, strengthening interdisciplinary collaboration and promoting sustainable development in the built environment.
