The R&D in Lyon is the first of its kind in the industry, with currently over 1,500 patents or patent applications, and network of local laboratories spanning all five continents. HIC currently works with forty leading university departments around the world in fields ranging from materials science to civil engineering to sustainable construction. Dedication to innovation and sustainable growth is further strengthened through Holcim Accelerator, an intensive 6-month program dedicated to accelerate the growth of innovative companies and start-ups in the building industry. HIC will participate in implementation of activities carried out within the WP4 and in the WP5.

There are 5 partners involved in the project covering the whole addressed value chain. Four of them are RTO, and one is an industry member. All ASCCENT partners have previously participated in EU projects, EU and global platformsand networks that will be used to gain additional information and dissemination benefits.
